Doll Furniture

The other day, I went to my great-great aunt's house. As a hobby, she designs minature homes and has them all over her office. She gave me a whole box of extra furniture that she wouldn't use. It was enough to create a whole house!

Here is a bird's eye view of the house. She gave everything to me except the table (it's by sister's) and the bed (I made it out of a box). There's a formal living room (top left), a kitchen with a tea set and potholders (top right), a den (bottom left), and a bedroom (bottom right).

Here are Felicity and Elizabeth's dolls. I posed them in the formal living room, which looks kind of colonial.

Here is Felicity's doll in the kitchen, making tea with the minature China tea set.

If you've noticed that I haven't added a lot of pictures in a long time, I just wanted to let you know that my camera broke! I am trying my best to find another way to take and post pictures, so they will be coming up!

The Poll Has Ended!

The current poll has ended, and I felt it fit to inform everyone of the outcome. 60% of the voters voted that it was wrong of AG to retire Samantha and put in Rebecca. 30% voted that it was right, and 10% didn't know. 10 people voted; I hope even more vote on the next one! Be sure to vote!

Rebecca- My New Doll!

Here are some pictures of my new AG doll, Rebecca:

Here she is posing with my mom's Japanese Eggplant.

Rebecca is trying to water some flowers. I think she's a tad too small...

Here is Rebecca with her really cute accessories (hat, shawl, and pin).

Various Pictures

Here are some various pictures of my AG dolls:

Here is Kimi, my Just Like You doll, grabbing a late-night snack before going to bed.

Here are Felicity and her friend, Elizabeth, looking for figures in the clouds. What could they see?

Felicity

Here's my first American Girl doll, Felicity, in her summer gown and in our front yard.

Here's Lissie posing with some flowers.

Here she is, looking very prim and pretty, displaying the Japanese Boxwood that's in our front yard planter.

My First Dolls

Here's a picture of two of my first dolls. The one on the left is named Salley. The doll on the right never had a name, but she is a windup toy that plays "You Are My Sunshine". So, I nicknamed her Sunny.

Madame Alexander Girlz

Here is a doll that my sister got for Christmas. She is from the "Madame Alexander" brand and is a certain type called "Madame Alexander Girlz". She is 18" tall and has a moveable head and plush body. We bought her at Costco during the winter holiday season. She is wearing an American Girl outfit that is currently on sale (but doesn't come with the boots). Just go to americangirl.com and go to "Shop". After that, in the corner, you'll see the sale section. After it loads, click on the "Doll" section and you'll see it, along with a whole bunch of other deals!

American Girl Dolls' Bedtime

Here are all of my American Girl dolls, ready for bed. Here are their names from left to right: Rebecca, Kimi, Julie, Elizabeth, and Felicity. They are placed in the order in which I got them (from right to left). So Felicity is my first, and Rebecca is my newest doll.

Antique Bride Doll

This doll was given to my grandma in the 1950's. When my mom was a young girl, my grandma gave it to her, and now it belongs to me.

My Dolls

Here are my dolls (my American Girl dolls will appear in a later post):
Here are my "I Love Lucy" Barbie dolls. From left to right (by episode): Lucy Does a TV Commercial, Lucy Gets in Pictues, Lucy's Italian Movie, and Job Switching.

Here are my retired "Girls of Many Lands". They used to be made by American Girl, but they were discontiued. From left to right: Isabelle, Cecile. I recommend getting their books (they have them at most libraries).

Here are my Barbie Collector dolls. From left to right: Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany's), Irish Dance (Ireland), and Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins, of course!)

Here is a Shirley Temple doll I got when I was little. I love her sailor dress!

These are some cornhusk dolls that belonged to my mom when she was little.
