Kimi the Cook!

Here's Kimi again, and this time she's ready to cook. She's wearing a dress that I got from Michael's (www.michaels.com) and an apron that I made this morning.

I absolutely love the pattern with the teapots and the hearts. It's very kitchen-y, don't you think?

Kimi Is Ready For School!

My school starts in just two days! I am excited, and it looks like Kimi (my just like you doll) is, too! Here she is wearing an outfit that I got from Target (for their AG doll line). It also came with a vest and some purple shoes, but the shoes didn't fit and the climate was too warm to wear the vest.

Good luck at school!

Julie and Her New Dress!!

Hi everyone! I just got done with making my first American Girl dress. I decided it looked like it could possibly have been worn in the 1970's, so I put it on Julie. Here she is!

American Girl at McDonalds

Today (August 14th), McDonalds is releasing their American Girl toys to go along with their Happy Meals! I just purchased the set on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/) for a fairly good price. I don't know when they're leaving McDonalds, but I doubt it'll be soon. Also, for boys, there are Lego Racers (I thought I'd add that if you have any brothers/cousins/etc. interested). I am so excited!

PS- American Girl must be really hurting for money right now!

Saving Up My Money To Buy...

Hi everyone! Guess what? I'm saving up my money to buy my very own camera, so I don't have to use my mom's to take pictures! I used to have a camera, but for some reason, it wouldn't register that it had the batteries in it. It was all very odd. Anyway, I am excited because I can take my new one anywhere and I can take as many pictures with it as I want!

My Puppy

This is my little puppy (well, she isn't so little anymore!) named Trinka! She is almost 2 years old (she was born in September of '07), and about 50 lbs. I love her so much! She is half German Shepherd, and half Black Lab. I know none of this concerns dolls, but I like to tell everyone about her anyway.
These pictures are from when I first met her. I found out about her on http://www.petfinder.com/, which is an animal rescue website. (If you are looking for adopting some kind of animal, or just want to see some really cute dogs, cats, etc., this is the website to check out!) Finally, after what seemed like AGES, we got to meet her in Los Angeles. We didn't have to drive SUPER long, but it sure seemed like we did! Anyway, we met her and fell in love with her. She was so tiny! We adopted her on the spot! After a month (when Trinka was 2 months old), she finally came home to live with us! (According to the rules of the rescue we got her from, she had to be 2 months old for her to come home with us for good.)It was 2 days before Halloween.

Their First Sleepover!

Last night, my dolls had their first official sleepover! Of course, I was there to take as many pictures as possible!

4:00 PM-
Here are all of my dolls posing together. From left to right: (top row) Elizabeth, Julie, Felicity, (bottom row) Rebecca, and Kimi.

5:30 PM-
It looks like Licorice wanted to join in the fun!

7:00 PM-
Uh-oh! The baby's crying!

8:00 PM-
Kimi is posing with her mini-doll, Kaya, and her book.

10:00 PM-
Before bedtime, Elizabeth and Julie play with their dolls. (Julie's doll is really Kirsten's)

12:15 AM-
The girls are sharing their secrets in the dark. But it looks like Elizabeth couldn't stay up as long as the others!

2:30 AM-
Finally, the girls are asleep. I'll bet you that they'll be pooped tomorrow!

New AG Doll of the Year!

From one of my favorite websites, www.dolldiaries.com, I found out that the next AG doll of the year has a good chance of being African-American. How exciting that'll be!

PS- I just realized that AG (American Girl) is also the periodic symbol of silver (AG)!

AG Doll Books

My little sister is ready to read the American Girl books! I want some ideas for what she should read. I don't want them to be too scary or intense, though, because she's just in 1st grade. She's reading 'Kailey' right now, but I'd like her to read the historical books. What do you think? Leave comments!
